BOWIE WEEK: BOWIE FROM THE ARCHIVE

We’ve continued to feel inspired by the Chameleon of Rock, and have hunted through our archive to create something with a bit of a Bowie essence.

We had these three looks in particular in mind…

The crazy cobalt blue, velvet suit, with some major lapels, is similar to the one worn in the ‘Life on Mars?’ video (1973).

Bowie as Thomas Jerome Newton in ‘The Man who Fell to Earth’ (1976) drew us to the 1950s herringbone coat.

Lastly, some tailored trousers worn with braces – which were a staple in Bowie’s wardrobe during his 1974 Diamond Dog tour. We topped it off with the late-19th century tailcoat to reference the Elizabethan-esque coat he has thrown over his shoulder.
