HOT RODS @ KINGPINS
We love returning to Kingpins, this was especially true at the beginning of this year, where The Vintage Showroom were asked to present 6 vintage looks. At NYC in January and Amsterdam in April we delved into the archives and explored ‘The History of Hot Rodding, and its Legacy on Menswear’.
The Hot Rods were being tinkered by young car enthusiasts with a lot of time and not a lot of money. The post-war period saw a-lot of returning soldiers and GIs, who now had the necessary skills to strip down and soup up their cars.
We came up with a collection of coveralls, worn-down naval denim, dixie caps and silk bombers, much like those seen on the dry lake beds of the 1930s.

We’ll be back at Kingpins NYC this month on the 19th & 20th of July, exhibiting an exciting new collection of looks, showing vintage that dates back to the mid-19th Century. Be sure to register here >>
